‘Everything Has Gone to Hell’ Under Biden

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) endorsed Donald Trump for president Wednesday, becoming the latest high-profile endorsement of Trump ahead of the Jan. 15 Iowa caucuses.

“When Donald Trump was president, America was safe, strong and prosperous,” Cotton said. Said fox news digital. “Joe Biden became president and everything went to hell. Families can't afford groceries, the border is wide open to full-scale invasions, and enemies are starting wars everywhere.”

“I support President Trump and look forward to working with him to take back the White House and the Senate so we can help hardworking Arkansans who are suffering from Joe Biden's disastrous policies.”

He added: “It's time to get our country back on track.”

Cotton, national security and immigration hawk; cheated on me After it became clear that Trump would run again, he decided not to run for president. The Arkansan has worked closely with President Trump on border security and immigration policy, making him a likely candidate for a role in a future Trump administration.

Earlier Wednesday, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) endorsed Trump, calling him “the clear front-runner of our party.” Following the endorsement of Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) the previous day, the top five House Republicans now support the president.

Trump has the support of about 100 members of the House of Representatives.

But it's a different story in the Senate. Cotton joins about 20 Senate Republicans in backing Trump, but no senior member of Senate leadership has endorsed him.
