Chris Christie confronts ‘View’ host for ‘insulting’ suggestion his voters would ‘waltz over to Nikki Haley’

Republican presidential candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told “The View” hosts Wednesday that his supporters won't necessarily support Nikki Haley if he resigns. .

“The View” co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin told Christie that she would love to vote in the Republican primary, but asked why Griffin didn't fully support Haley, who she said she would support in the primary. I asked if it was. The day before, it was to solidify support for Donald Trump “knowing how dangerous it is''.

Christie said Haley can't beat Trump “because she doesn't want to,” and a South Carolina politician she spoke to recently said Haley could not be Trump's vice president. He was quoted as saying that he would “eat glass.”

Griffin pointed to recent polling and suggested Haley could outperform Trump in New Hampshire if she were to stay ahead of Christie.

“Wouldn't it still be better for democracy to have Nikki Haley as the candidate?” Griffin asked.

“And what a shame to my constituents to think that they would immediately start dancing to Nikki Haley, even though Nikki Haley called Donald Trump the right president at the right time.” It would be insulting,” he said.

Christie mockingly accused Haley, paraphrasing, “For some reason, wherever Trump goes, chaos and drama follow.”

“It's like an arsonist saying, 'Somehow, no matter where I go, a burning building follows me.' Chaos and drama, you and I both know, follow him,” he says. Because that's what he does,” Christie said.

Christie has increasingly criticized Haley and Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis for not targeting the former president.

“My point about Nicki is very simple: You can't stand up to Donald Trump and say he was the right president at the right time,” Christie told Fox News in early December. Ta. “It's impossible to try to stand by Mr. Trump while being in conflict with him.”
