Pro-Palestinian demonstrators marching in downtown Chicago over New Year's weekend waved Palestinian flags emblazoned with a portrait of Abu Obaidah, a spokesman for the terrorist organization Hamas' military wing.

Hundreds of people gathered Sunday afternoon in downtown Chicago to participate in a pro-Palestinian protest calling for justice and an end to the Israeli-Hamas war.
“What do we want?” chants of “Justice!” and “When do we want it?” “Come on” echoed down Michigan Boulevard as protesters held Palestinian flags.

The group briefly closed Interstate 90 and Interstate 94 on Sunday as protesters continued to raise their voices.
Some of those calling for a “ceasefire” clearly supported Hamas's war effort.

Abu Obaida (or Obaida, or Obeida) became a popular figure in the Arab and Islamic world due to his frequent appearances on Al Jazeera and other anti-Israel networks.
