Colorado police vow ‘justice’ for Kimberlee Singler’s murdered children

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) issued a new statement Wednesday after British authorities arrested Kimberly Singler, a Colorado woman suspected of killing two children and injuring a third on Dec. 18. It is believed that he then fled the country.

An 11-year-old boy and Singler, who were in the residence when police arrived, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The CSPD Homicide Unit then rushed to the scene and began an investigation, which determined the initial robbery report was “unfounded.” On Dec. 26, police established probable cause and obtained a warrant for Singler's arrest, but she has not been seen since Dec. 23, when she was last seen.

An attorney for Ms. Singler's husband, Kevin Wentz, told FOX 31 Denver that the couple began divorce proceedings in 2018. Singler has made multiple accusations of abuse against her ex-husband, but courts have found them unfounded, his lawyer told the show.

On October 14, Singler obtained a temporary protection order for threatening Wentz with a knife. The court later ruled that there was no imminent threat and revoked the protective order, requiring Singler to pay Wentz's legal costs and make up for lost parenting time.

Singler did not comply with an order to bring the children to court on Dec. 16 to exchange them with Wentz, and Singler appeared to ignore attempts by Wentz's attorney to contact her. is.

According to a statement shared with FOX 31, on Dec. 18, after Singler allegedly attacked the children, the court filed an emergency motion for law enforcement assistance to enforce parenting time filed by Wentz's attorneys. A status meeting was scheduled for December 20th.
