A Philadelphia man died Thursday night when he was thrown onto the subway tracks and into the path of an oncoming train during a fight with another man.
The death occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the 34th Street SEPTA station in University City, a few blocks from the University of Pennsylvania, officials said. NBC10.

A man wearing a black coat and black hat punched the victim twice, causing him to fall onto the tracks.
Seconds later, a Marquette-Frankford Line train pulled into the station with the man still on the tracks, causing frightened people to scream.
Medical officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.
“Oh my god, I feel so bad,” one woman screams in the video before police frantically clear the scene.
Police confirmed they were reviewing the video as part of their investigation.
The victim has not yet been identified.
Philadelphia Police Lt. Kupana Massaquoi told NBC10, “We don't know exactly what happened before this incident started, but it's an active investigation at this time.”
A person of interest was subsequently taken into custody at the 40th Street Station, Massaquoi said.
Massaquoi said. ABC News Philadelphia Police are not currently producing any witnesses, even though video shows multiple people were present when the man was struck.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The killing is being investigated as a homicide, according to ABC News Philadelphia.
SEPTA suspended service on the Market-Frankford Line between 30th Street and 40th Street stations for about two hours.
In September, a 66-year-old man was struck and killed by a SEPTA train while walking on the railroad tracks.
