Flock of birds takes over Texas parking lot in scene ‘straight out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie’

Hundreds of birds landed in a parking lot in Texas, creating a scene straight out of a horror movie.

Yvon Gomez shot the video Tuesday in the Houston suburb of Cypress and shared it on TikTok.

She described the scene as “straight out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie”.

“When I honked the horn, the birds weren't scared,” Gomez said.

A casual birdwatcher also said that the flock did not move even when people passed by or even when children screamed.

Houston Audubon says the blackbird, known as the greater grackle, can be found in any area where humans live and there are trees.

Grackles are a common bird in the Houston area.

According to Houston Audubon, these birds enjoy congregating in parking lots of shopping centers and fast food restaurants, where there is plenty of food and plenty of perches.
