Palestinians in Gaza Want Hamas Gone

The son of a Gaza imam abducted by Hamas for refusing to preach Hamas propaganda says ordinary Palestinians want the terrorist organization to be defeated and disappear from their lives.

Ala Mohamed Mushtaha, writing for the Free Press, said Gazans “ironically, when the fighting broke out, Hamas went underground and people became more vocal about how Hamas destroyed our lives.” “I cannot freely express my true opinion until I am able to do so,” he said.

he says:

People are starting to openly violate Hamas's laws, regulations, orders and orders. They openly abuse Hamas and his leaders in the streets and markets, ignoring the instructions of the few Hamas officials and police on the ground. They have done a lot of damage and there is no denying that. They have imposed themselves on our society, on my father, for too long. We are all paying the price. people want freedom. We deeply hope that this war will end and so will Hamas.

I don't know where my father is. I don't know if I'll ever see him alive again. My hope in telling this story and putting my name out there is to protect my father in some way. Hamas may want to release him to show the world that it would never harm the admired mosque preacher. God only knows what the future holds, but what I do know is that under no circumstances will my father want to become a propaganda tool.
