Ala Mohamed Mushtaha, writing for the Free Press, said Gazans “ironically, when the fighting broke out, Hamas went underground and people became more vocal about how Hamas destroyed our lives.” “I cannot freely express my true opinion until I am able to do so,” he said.

People are starting to openly violate Hamas's laws, regulations, orders and orders. They openly abuse Hamas and his leaders in the streets and markets, ignoring the instructions of the few Hamas officials and police on the ground. They have done a lot of damage and there is no denying that. They have imposed themselves on our society, on my father, for too long. We are all paying the price. people want freedom. God only knows what the future holds, but what I do know is that under no circumstances will my father want to become a propaganda tool.
