A man who investigators believe may be homeless was charged Friday in the death of another man who was thrown onto the tracks during a fight on a SEPTA platform.
Chaz Latone Waring, 40, has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a Thursday afternoon brawl in University City. NBC10 reportedThis was announced by the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.

Waring currently has a bench warrant in Delaware County for an unrelated strangulation case, the outlet added.
Waring's criminal history also includes incidents in Clinton and Lycoming counties, according to public records.
Alarming footage of a brawl at a SEPTA station shows two men – including one believed to be Waring – shouting at each other just inches from the edge of the platform. .
The suspect punched the other man twice and pushed him onto the tracks as the train entered the station.
Waring was later taken into custody at the next station, police said.
The victim's identity has not been released.
Philadelphia Police Department Lt. Kupana Massaquoi told NBC10 that the incident “appears to be some type of physical altercation.”
“We don't know exactly what happened before we started this, but we're investigating at this time,” he said.
Local residents say traffic violence has increased in recent years.
“It's not that surprising,” said Jennifer McCray of Upper Darby. told WPVI About tragedy.
It has increased significantly over the past few years, especially after the pandemic. “I think we can have more police presence to contain the crowds and violence,” she added.
The Philadelphia State Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment on the case.
