Then there was one. We're in the final week of the 2023 regular season, and it seems like many fans can't wait for this all to be over.
This season has been plagued by unforeseen events and injuries since the opening week, and it hasn't stopped. While we've seen some star players suffer injuries and teams falter, we've also seen some organizations rise from the ashes to become contenders. If nothing else, this is one of the most unpredictable rides imaginable, and that continues into Week 18.
There are a lot of teams that don't have anything to play for on both ends of the spectrum. The best ones will sit as starters in preparation for the playoffs, while the worst ones will just be waiting for the draft to start. However, with the regular season coming to a close, there are several games to watch.
- Buccaneers vs. Panthers: If they win, they will face Tampa Bay, but if they lose to Carolina and the Saints win, New Orleans will win the NFC South.
- Bears vs. Packers: Chicago has the ability to be the ultimate spoiler for their divisional rivals. A win against Green Bay will end the Packers' hopes of making the playoffs, but after that, serious calculations will be needed to find a breakthrough.
- Entire AFC South Division: This is where everything gets wild. If the Jaguars win, they'll play, if the Colts win, they'll play, and if either loses, they're likely to be eliminated, and if they both lose, the Texans could win the division.
- Dolphins vs. Bills: buffalo needs To win and get a playoff ticket. If you don't, you'll likely miss the playoffs.
