Bronny could play for struggling Lakers ‘right now’: LeBron James

LeBron James has an interesting plan to help the Lakers, and he's turning his attention to his son.

James said he thought his son Bronny would be a good fit to help the Lakers, who have lost four straight.

James, 39, made the claim after the Lakers lost 127-113 to the Grizzlies on Friday night, marking the team's 10th loss in its past 13 games.

“I don't think about the past that much,” LeBron said after the game. According to the Guardian. “It was only two games. Now it's the worst.”

The Lakers star then continued that his teenage son could make a difference on the team by insisting that the 18-year-old USC freshman could immediately sub in for the Lakers.

“He could play for us right now. Easy. Easy,” he said.

Emotions ran high after the defeat, and things got especially ugly.

In the third quarter, with the game tied at 75, a scuffle broke out between James and former NBA Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson.

During the contest for possession, James appeared to hit Jackson in the face with an elbow or forearm. Memphis head coach Taylor Jenkins explodes.

The Grizzlies' head coach ran onto the court in protest of the missed call, nearly colliding with the Lakers' Taurean Prince, denying Los Angeles a fast break.

After the game, Jenkins apologized to Lakers head coach Dervin Ham for getting carried away after the game.

“I can't do that, so I take full responsibility for that.” Mr Jenkins said. “I saw a scuffle there, I saw Jalen squeezing LeBron, and I saw something cross the line…I had to stand up for my opponent.”

Bronny made his collegiate debut at the University of Southern California in December after missing more than four months after suffering cardiac arrest in July.

Since then, he has averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Trojans.

In the past two games, he has scored 15 points and 10 points, respectively.
