Steelers keep playoff hopes alive with season finale win over Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens rested several star players, including likely MVP Lamar Jackson, as they clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC on Saturday.

And the Pittsburgh Steelers used that advantage to beat their AFC North rival 17-10 and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Najee Harris scored a touchdown on the Steelers' second drive to take the lead. Inclement weather slowed down both offenses, but the Ravens clinched the game with Isiah Riley's touchdown just before the end of the first half.

In the first 30 minutes, both teams combined for six punts and three fumbles.

The third quarter was scoreless, and the Steelers took a 14-7 lead on Diontae Johnson's 71-yard touchdown homer with 14 minutes, 49 seconds left.

After the teams traded punts again, the Ravens lost a second fumble on their own side of the field. The Steelers took advantage, but made a field goal despite reaching the Baltimore 2-yard line.

Baltimore kicked a field goal with 16 seconds left, but the ensuing onside kick failed.

Until last week, Harris had never rushed for 100 yards in a game this season. He's now done that in back-to-back games. He ran for 112 yards on 26 carries.

For the Steelers to make the playoffs, either the Buffalo Bills or Jacksonville Jaguars must lose (the Jags can tie). Pittsburgh could also qualify if Saturday night's game between the Colts and Texans ends in a tie.
