Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) said Sunday on NBC's “Meet the Press” that she was concerned about “the treatment of the hostages on January 6th.”
On January 6, anchor Kristen Welker said, “Do you still feel that that day was tragic and those responsible should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law?” Ta.
Stefanik replied: “First of all, Kristen, as is typical of NBC and the biased media, you played excerpts of my speech. I objected to the certification. I stand by my floor speech. I am proud to support President Trump.”
She went on to say, “We have concerns about the treatment of the hostages on January 6th. We have concerns about the surveillance and the treatment of prisoners. We have concerns about the treatment of the hostages on January 6. And I believe it's happening to conservatives as well. We're seeing it happening to Catholics. That's why I'm the Special Commissioner on the Weaponization of Government. That's one of the reasons I'm proud to serve on the Council because the American people want answers, they want transparency, and they want to know that when you look around this country, there seem to be two sets. Because I understand that it looks like if you have one rule that your last name is Clinton or Biden, you're going to live by a different set of rules.”
