A Las Vegas couple has been arrested more than a month after they were accused of opening fire on a homeless encampment, killing two people and injuring three others.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested 31-year-old Cristobal Omar Perez and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Kylie Au Yong, on Thursday.
Both suspects are charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Associated Press. Police are also trying to identify a third suspect.

According to police, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on December 1, when a man with a gun was dropped off in a black SUV near a freeway overpass in the northeastern part of the city.
The suspect allegedly went to a homeless encampment, opened fire, and then was picked up in a getaway vehicle.
The killer, Lt. Jason Johansson, said the shooting appeared to have been planned in advance.

It appears he was targeted, but investigators said a motive has not been determined.
FOX 5 in Las Vegas reported that Au Young appeared in court Friday morning. During a brief hearing, the judge ordered Au Young to be held without bail.

Perez also had a hearing but did not appear in court for unknown reasons. Like Au Yong, Perez was also ordered held without bail.
