Exclusive – Trent Staggs Warns ‘Mitt Romney Is Still on the Ballot’ with Establishment Senate Candidates

Trent Staggs, Utah Senate Republican candidate and Mayor of Riverton, Utah, warned: Breitbart News Saturday Two establishment candidates are running to replace the retiring Senate Republican, and “Mitt Romney is still on the ballot.''

Staggs joins the “America First”-leaning Senate, which includes Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Rick Scott (R-Ky.). In order to expand the number of members, he rallied to run for the Senate. Florida). He has often argued that Utahns have an opportunity this election cycle to replace retiring Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) with a proven conservative.

But he warned that several establishment candidates are currently seeking to replace Mr. Romney and undermine conservative efforts to increase their influence in the Senate.

Mr. Staggs named former Utah State Chairman Brad Wilson as one of the “hand-picked” establishment candidates to succeed Mr. Romney. He said Wilson helped pass the RINO Protection Act, which reformed the caucus system that made it difficult for insurgent and conservative candidates to become the Republican nominee. Mayor Riverton pointed out that this is how Mr. Lee became a senator.

Breitbart News reported how Wilson's candidacy is being supported by Never Trump, Democrats and Mitt Romney's donors.

He also mentioned Rep. John Curtis (R-Utah), who recently ran in the Utah Senate Republican primary.

“John has been a member of Congress since 2017. He was a lifelong Democrat before switching parties,” he said.

“This is a person who supported the Jan. 6 committee, who supported the impeachment inquiry into former President Trump, and who said he was considering whether to vote in favor of impeachment,” Staggs added.

“We know what type of candidates these two are,” he said.

“I'm the only America First candidate in this race, and I've been very fortunate to have the support of so many great conservatives like Mark Levin, Charlie Kirk, Kash Patel, and Kali Lake. ” he said.
