Brie Larson sobbed when she met her heartthrob Jennifer Lopez at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
Larson, 34, was interviewed by “Entertainment Tonight” host Kevin Frazier on the red carpet. She spotted Lopez before the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“Oh my god, I'm crying!” Larson said. “I can't date J. Lo.”
Lopez reached out to hug Larson, and Larson said, “You mean so much to me!”
Larson appeared in the 1997 film “Serena” about singer Selena Quintanilla, the “Queen of Tejano Music,” who was assassinated in 1995 at the age of 23 by her manager Yolanda Salvidal.
“Watching 'Selena' made me want to be an actor. You've always meant so much to me,” Larson told Lopez.
“Oh my god, don't make me cry!” Lopez replied, wiping tears from her eyes before the women hugged each other.
“I need to get a shot of tequila or something!” Larson yelled.
Larson won an Oscar in 2016 for her role in Room and was nominated for her role in the Apple TV+ series Lessons in Chemistry, which airs Sunday night.
She has also appeared in “Captain Marvel'' and “Avengers: Endgame.''
Lopez, 54, attended the Golden Globes with her husband Ben Affleck, 51, who was nominated for Best Musical or Comedy for his role in the film “Air,” in which he co-starred with longtime friend Matt Damon.
The lovers, who called off their engagement in 2004, rekindled their romance in 2021 and got married in 2022.
Later in the telecast, Affleck and Damon, wearing matching tuxedos, presented the director's award to Oppenheimer helmsman Christopher Nolan.
At the awards ceremony, Affleck surprised Damon off-camera during a commercial break, and the two shared a bear hug and a few words.
Lopez has released a new single, “Can't Get Enough,” with a wedding-themed music video, from her new album, “This Is Me… Now.”
“I think some people will be surprised. It's definitely kind of a meta-story about the journey from heartbreak to love again.” she told journalist Mark Malkin on the red carpet.
The Golden Globe Awards, hosted by comedian Jo Koy, was broadcast on CBS.
