Authoritarian states such as Qatar, China and Russia have poured billions of dollars into US universities since 2001, yet mainstream media has remained silent.
“It's been going on under our noses for decades,” Mark Levin said, adding, “The American establishment has failed us horribly.”
According to a Dec. 19 report from OffThePress.com, “Since 1990, foreign countries have donated $43 billion to American universities.”
Elite universities are 'significantly under-reporting' their funding.
Why would a foreign country fund American universities?
“They're buying hearts, minds, and souls,” Levin explains, and it shows.
Rising levels of anti-Semitism and declining norms of free speech on campuses are associated with underreporting of funding, according to a recent study. The increase in anti-Semitism across universities has reached a staggering 300%.
The increase is said to be “related to $13 billion in undisclosed foreign funds from 2014 to 2019” by “governments in the Middle East, China, and Russia.”
Harvard University, Yale University, and Georgetown University were the top recipients.
These foreign countries are using this money to “promote terrorism, buy the minds of our people in our schools, buy our politicians,” Levin said.
Despite the obvious monetary imprint and impact on American students, the mainstream media doesn't seem to care.
“Isn't this breaking news? That academia has been co-opted and paid for by monarchies, by communist, fascist, and Islamist regimes? Isn't it important to know that? ” Levin asked further, adding, “These universities have become a rat's nest like the Stalinists.”
