Global consulting firm Bain & Company has been named the best company to work for in 2024, beating out leading companies in the tech, financial and pharmaceutical industries, according to job review site Glassdoor.
Bain & Company received a rating of 4.8 out of 5, making it the overall winner of Glassdoor's 2024 100 Best Places to Work list.
The company is only one of two companies named to the list each year.
More than that, the company has earned the top spot six out of the 16 times it has appeared on the list, Glassdoor reports.
Bain & Company advertises on its website that it works with 64% of the Global 500 companies.
The company operates in 65 cities in 40 countries.
The purpose of the list is to “give professionals career insights and real-time conversations about all things work and life, and give employers feedback for improvement,” says Glassdoor CEO Christian.・Mr. Sutherland Wong said in a statement.
Bain & Company took first place, but 31 other technology companies joined the list.
This includes NVIDIA, Google, which also made the list 16 times, Microsoft, and Apple, which is no longer on the list in 2023.
On the contrary, a handful of technology companies, including Gainsight, which claimed the top spot in 2023, also dropped from this year's list.

Other companies missing from the list include Box, Hubspot, Qualtrics, Workday, and Salesforce, according to the report.
Meanwhile, more than two dozen employers have joined the annual ranking, from software company Samsara to tech giant Lenovo and Texas Children's Hospital.
In addition to Apple, other companies have returned in 2023 after a short hiatus, including Nike, E. & J. Gallo Winery, and Marriott International, according to the report.
