Weekend of Violence Rips Through NYC, No Arrests Made

Violent crime is on the rise across New York City, with shootings occurring in multiple boroughs on Saturday.

A certain man is shot Saturday, police reported inside a tailor's store in Manhattan's Garment District that two masked men entered the store on West 38th Street around 1:30 p.m. new york post.

Police said the suspects robbed the 35-year-old victim while he was altering his clothes, took his wallet and Rolex watch, and then shot him in the right ankle.

Police said the victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, but no arrests have been made.

Around the same time, New York City Police Department (NYPD) sources announced that two people were injured in an incident in Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was shot three times in the back and thigh area and a 71-year-old woman was shot once in the leg on Nostrand Avenue just after 2pm on Saturday.

A NYPD spokesperson said both victims were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

Again, no arrests have been made.

Another man was slashed with some type of knife in Queens early Saturday morning, police said.

Police say the left hand of an unidentified victim was slashed on Queens Boulevard at 3:15 a.m. Police are searching for two men who drove off in a gray SUV.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, police said. However, no arrests have been made in connection with the attack.
