Chris Christie is no longer running for president.

He called off his high-flying campaign earlier today.

Politico reported:

Chris Christie has ended a high-stakes presidential campaign that could be a big boost to Nikki Haley's chances in New Hampshire.

“I'd rather tell the truth and lose than lie to win,” Christie told supporters in Windham, New Hampshire, on Wednesday. “Tonight, it's clear that I have no path to the nomination. That's why I'm ceasing my campaign tonight.”

The former New Jersey governor has been one of the Republican front-runner's most vocal critics of front-runner Donald Trump and has staked his campaign on winning the primary state for the first time.

But that path narrowed as Haley began to surge in the polls with several strong debate performances and support from popular Republican Gov. Chris Sununu, who is also running against President Trump. Ta.

He also responded to Christie's hot mic incident in which Nikki Haley said she would be “smoked” by Trump in the primaries.
