Pro-Palestinian Activists Deface L.A. Veterans’ Cemetery, L.A. Metro with Anti-soldier Symbols

Pro-Palestinian activists defaced the Los Angeles National Cemetery on Sunday with graffiti including the infamous symbol “red triangle” used by anti-Israel activists online to celebrate attacks on soldiers by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Red triangle like pro-Hamas news outlet Al Jazeera explainedis also a video game-like visual symbol used by Hamas to point out terrorist targets in propaganda videos of attacks on Israeli soldiers, and has been embraced by radical anti-Israel activists. It also resembles the red part of the Palestinian flag.

Drawing red triangles on cemeteries where American soldiers are buried suggests support for the killing of American soldiers as well as Israeli soldiers. This type of radical anti-Israel propaganda from Iran often lumps together the US and Israeli forces.

The New York Post published a video of the vandalism targeting one of the nation's most important monuments. explained It is managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs as the burial ground for thousands of veterans of America's wars from the Civil War to the Vietnam War, as well as Medal of Honor recipients and African American Buffalo Soldiers.

Protesters spray-painted “Free Gaza” at the monument's entrance, and chanted “Long live Palestine,” “There's only one solution,” “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and “Biden, Biden, you. is a liar,” video footage from the event said.
