CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen said Thursday on CNN's “The Situation Room” that a civil fraud trial in New York could spell the end for former President Donald Trump's business organization. Ta.
Anchor Wolf Blitzer asked, “What are the risks for the Trump Organization right now?”
Eisen said, “Well, this is substantive, Wolf, including the fact that once all of these court and appellate proceedings are completed, it may no longer be called the Trump Organization.'' The attorney general is seeking not only a hefty fine of more than $300 million for wrongdoing, but also injunctive relief that this judge has already ordered, which remains pending an appeal. has already ordered several remedies that amount to corporate death penalty.
He added: “Mr. Trump and his sons are not allowed to participate in the business, do other business, or take out loans for a period of time, presumably making the trustee responsible.'' ” he added. If all that comes to fruition and it survives appeal, and I think the judge was cautious, like Eric and Don Jr.'s comments, I think he shows balance. If the appeal continues, it could mean the end of the Trump Organization as we have known it for years. ”
