An Israeli soccer player is being investigated in Turkey on suspicion of supporting his country's war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and “inciting hatred and hostility among the people,” Turkish authorities announced on Sunday.

Sagib Yehezker (28), who plays for Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, scored a goal in the 68th minute of the match against Trabzonspor. He then pointed to his wrist, where it read, “100 days. 7.10.” Hamas launched a large-scale terrorist attack against Israel on the same day.

However, Ihezkel's attitude was vilified.

“Antalya's Chief Prosecutor's Office has issued a statement against Israeli footballer Sagiv Yehezkel for his ugly gesture in support of Israeli genocide in Gaza after scoring a goal in the Antalyaspor vs. Trabzonspor Super Lig match. We have opened a judicial investigation for 'inciting hatred and hostility among the people,''' Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunku said, Reuters reported.

Tunku added that he condemned Israel's retaliation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
