Dionne Warwick was a little taken by Elvis Presley's charm.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, the 83-year-old recalled the moment she first met Presley in Las Vegas around 1969.

“Oh my god. First of all, I was blown away by that guy,” Warrick began. “I have never seen such a beautiful man in my life.”

Warwick couldn't remember exactly which hotel Elvis was supposed to open (it was the International Hotel), but she remembers how Elvis treated her.

“He was very nice and very kind to me. He said, 'You know what I'm going to do? I've done something for you.' 'What are you going to do? “Is that so?” I said. He said, “I'm going to put your picture and my picture on every record in every album.” Please open a store in Las Vegas. ”

Warwick explained that Presley announced that he had done such a thing during his show that night, which prompted fans to go buy Warwick's album.

“We sold so many albums,” Warwick recalled. “I have [to] Let me tell you, Las Vegas is the place I never thought about selling. ”

Mr. Warwick recently received a Kennedy Center Award. “It's great that they finally recognized my body of work and all that I can do,” Warrick told FOX News Digital. “I feel overwhelmed. It's been a great weekend.”

Since 1978, the Kennedy Center Honors has honored those in the performing arts for their lifetime contributions to American culture. Each year, this award is presented to her five recipients at his December gala in Washington, DC.

“Words cannot express how proud my brother and I are of our mother,” Dionne's son Damon Warwick told Fox News Digital. “We've seen her do great things not only in her career, but for so many other people throughout her life.”

He added: “That's great because the time has come. It's well overdue.”

The mother-son duo is currently working on a song together called “I Kneel.”

The legendary musician said it was a “joy” to sing songs written by his son. “How much more can you do than work with the people you love?” she asked.

Damon felt the same way. Working with his mother was “very exciting,” he said.

Faith is at the forefront of the Warwick family of Damon and David Elliott.

“It's my whole existence,” Dionne said of her faith. “That's what I live for and that's what I grow from. I believe that our Heavenly Father is insurmountable.”

Like his mother, Damon has a strong sense of faith. “As a whole family, we put God first in everything we do. We pray to that and leave a lot on God's plate,” he said.

“A lot of people come up to us and say, 'We're praying for you,' but I don't know. I don't have anything to do with them. Even if they do. They don't. But when we do, we do.” “We say it, we mean it, and that's what it is. You know, we We always pray for each other and God first,” Damon added.

Warwick recently competed on Britain's “The Masked Singer.” She didn't last long on the show, but that wasn't surprising for her.

“Somebody should know my voice by now,” she explained.

Dionne played the role of “Weather” on the show, but was sent home after the first episode.

Warwick celebrated his 83rd birthday in December, but has no plans to slow down when it comes to his career.

“No, I have a lot of time to relax,” she told FOX News Digital. Damon, she said, is “not at all” asking her mother to relax a little and slow down.

“She always said, if it feels like work, I'll stop when I'm ready, and until then I'm just going to continue having fun and running around in this world and doing what I love. So that's how we do it. 'We're trying to catch up with her,' Damon added.

Warrick's secret to staying youthful and active even in his 80s is “It's spelled in capital letters: GOD.” She also credits her self-love for being able to stay young.

“I like me,” she said. “That's number one. I try to take care of myself as best I can. I can't do anything that could hurt me. So if it's a secret, that's it.”
