A federal appeals court has rejected former President Trump's request to block special counsel Jack Smith's access to his Twitter feed as part of an election interference case.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for Washington, D.C., ruled on the matter and declined further consideration. The decision came after an appeals panel rejected President Trump's initial request.

“Having considered appellant's motion for en banc reconsideration, the response thereto, the amicus brief filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in support of the en banc reconsideration, and the absence of a request for a vote from members of the court, The petition for an order seeking the same shall be dismissed,” the judgment said.
The former president and 2024 Republican presidential front-runner can now ask the Supreme Court to reconsider the issue.
Smith plans to use cell phone data used by former President Trump during his final weeks in office, including when Trump's cell phone was “unlocked” on January 6, 2021. It also includes data revealing when the Twitter application was open.
