A Missouri homeowner shot a robbery suspect five times during a midnight argument over the weekend, and the man who appeared to be trying to break into Klin's home died days later.

Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs said that around 3 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to a home on Strawberry Lane for a report of a person shot. KFVS-TV reported.
Arriving officers were told that an intruder had tried to break into the home and that the homeowner had shot him five times, the department said.
The suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Darren Beneman of Chanute, Kansas, was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, where he died Tuesday morning, according to KFVS.
Dobbs said the homeowner was not charged, citing self-defense, the department said.
