Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is hoping to do well in South Carolina as his 2024 campaign faces dire prospects in New Hampshire.

DeSantis (R-Fla.) plans to move most of his campaign staff to the Palmetto State ahead of next month's primary, according to a report Wednesday.
DeSantis' change in focus comes as New Hampshire polls show him well ahead of the front-runner, No. 45.th President Donald Trump and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley (RS.C.).
The governor's campaign has not aired any television ads in the state for two months. But he has made several appearances around the state, including a stop in the Hamptons on Wednesday.
“You can pick Haley, but she's focused on donor issues and she's taking on the overcooked corporatism agenda,” DeSantis said. “She cares more about the Ukrainian border than she does about the southern border here in the United States.”
Mr. DeSantis will make another stop in New Hampshire on Friday, then spend the weekend campaigning in South Carolina.
