An American Airlines jet skidded off a taxiway at a New York airport on Thursday, but no one was injured, authorities said.

American Eagle Flight 5811 skidded off the taxiway after landing at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport around 4 p.m.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Embraer E145 took off from Philadelphia. The aircraft is operated by Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines, and “deviated from the taxiway en route to the terminal due to snowy airfield conditions,” American Airlines told Fox News Digital in a statement. Told.

The airline said none of the 50 passengers and three crew members were injured. American Airlines said the plane will be towed from the taxiway and taken out of service for a full inspection.

“Safety is our top priority and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers,” the airline said in a statement. “All passengers have safely deplaned and are being transported to the terminal by bus.”

The FAA is investigating the incident.
