The relationship between UFC champion Alex Pereira and his ex-fiancée Merle Christine didn't work out.
Pereira, who is said to have broken up with the MMA content creator last year, claimed that he cut Pereira out of his life after finding out she was married.
“It's a little hard to talk about this because for me, I've already erased this person from my life,” he said in his latest post.e “Fulsend MMA” Podcast. “I would also like to ask all my fans to remove her from your lives.
“I believed this person and let her live in my house with my family. In the end, I found out that she was married.”
Christine, who hosts a mixed martial arts podcast called “Fightology,'' responded to Pereira's claims in a comment that was hilarious.
“Lol no matter what you invent it hurts people,” she wrote, adding a bunch of crying-laughing emojis.
“I wonder how I can get married and move to America (lol)”

On Friday, Pereira posted a screenshot of text messages allegedly exchanged between her and her ex-boyfriend on her Instagram Story.
“Guys, Merle thinks he can control you,” he wrote in Portuguese above the photo, according to Google Translate. She said: “I have been talking to her ex-husband for several days and today I found out what she is capable of.
“This is a love conversation between two different people, on the same day, at the same time. She attacked me thinking I was going to fight back. But I decided not to do such a thing. Not crazy!
“I have a video of her attacking me. She didn't get what she wanted so she's trying to take advantage of my name.”
Pereira appears to have deleted all evidence of the relationship from his social media accounts.
Christine's Instagram, which has 19,800 followers, is private as of Friday.
At the time of their split last year, Christine reportedly addressed the false rumors in a social media post.
“I think it's important to make a little statement because all these comments and rumors just don't seem to stop,” she wrote. According to The Mirror. “Sometimes in life relationships don't work out and people choose two different paths.
“And I think that's something everyone has to respect. And that doesn't mean there's bad blood between these two…I wish Alex all the best and a lot of success in his career.” I’m praying.”
Christine was reportedly present when Pereira defeated Jiri Prochaska to win the light heavyweight title in New York last November.
Pereira's next fight has not yet been scheduled.
