House Democrat lectures mother of fentanyl overdose victim, but she exposes him with just one question: ‘Have you?’

Congressman Dan Goldman (New York) spoke Thursday to the mother of a fentanyl overdose victim. Unfortunately for Goldman, his girlfriend's mother wasn't interested in his political gamesmanship.

During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing focused on the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Goldman spoke about Josephine, an Arizona mother who lost her daughter at age 26 after accidentally ingesting fentanyl.・I objected to Mr. Dunn.

After initially telling Dunn that he was being “used” by Republicans, Goldman downplayed his knowledge and asked, “What is a felony misdemeanor and how does it relate to impeachment proceedings?” He said he couldn't understand it. He then mocked Second Amendment supporters and finally asked Dunn if he agreed that the United States needed more Border Patrol agents.

“I don't agree with that because the Border Patrol is currently being used to make sandwiches and to test people and get them into our country. So I agree with you. “No,” Dan replied.

Mr. Goldman thought he had trapped her and replied, “Don't you think it would be beneficial to have more Border Patrol agents responsible for interdicting fentanyl trafficking?”

“I want the Border Patrol to do the job they were hired to do. Every Border Patrol agent I've talked to tells me their hands are tied by this administration and by Mr. Mayorkas. “I told you,” she replied.

That's when Dunn turned the tables on Goldman and asked him a question — one that the New York Democrat clearly didn't like.

“I've been to the border, sir. Have you been there?” Dan asked.

“I'm asking a question,” Mr. Goldman shot back.

So Goldman lectured Dunn again. He said the “problem” with her response is that other Department of Homeland Security officials have said the agency needs more people. He spent the rest of his time defending President Joe Biden, essentially blaming Republicans for the border crisis.

As part of her testimony, Dunn Said The commission said she believed Mayorkas was “partly responsible” for her daughter's death.

“In my humble opinion, Mr. Mayorkas is partially responsible for my daughter's death,” she said. “His expansive border policies are allowing tons of toxic fentanyl to flow into our country.

“This is an invasion, a weapon of mass destruction, unimaginable death and damage to our country, facilitated by Mr. Mayorkas. His participation in all of this.” [in] What I believe to be war is clearly deliberate support of the enemy, which disqualifies him from his position. Our country needs secure borders. We need to shut down the fentanyl superhighway,” she added.
