The red spots on former President Trump's hands that sparked frenzied speculation this week were caused by blood from a paper cut.
Internet sleuths initially ventured a number of theories to explain the red mark, ranging from a rash caused by his golf club grip to herpes.
However, an anonymous source provided TMZ A more mundane explanation.

The red mark first became apparent Wednesday after President Trump was photographed leaving a New York City courtroom to face defamation charges by magazine reporter E. Jean Carroll.
Representatives for the former president did not respond to The Post's request for comment.
Images of President Trump later that day showed the traces had disappeared. There were no marks on his hands when he was photographed leaving the funeral of his mother-in-law, Amalia Knahus, on Thursday morning.
