Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has canceled two television appearances scheduled for Sunday due to scheduling issues, his campaign confirmed Saturday.

“Media interviews have been canceled due to scheduling issues and will be rescheduled,” DeSantis spokesman Brian Griffin posted on X (formerly Twitter).

He said DeSantis, the Republican presidential candidate, will be in New Hampshire, where the nation's first primary will be held in 2024, “accompanying him on the campaign trail from Sunday morning, and is planning public events from Sunday evening to Tuesday.'' ” he added.

The cancellation was due to a “last-minute schedule change,” NBC reported, adding that DeSantis was scheduled to travel from South Carolina to New Hampshire on Sunday to attend at least one Granite State event. .

Trump's campaign manager retweeted news of DeSantis' resignation and joked that “the end is nigh…” a sign that the presidential campaign is almost over.

DeSantis lost to former President Trump by 30 points in Iowa on Monday, leaving him in a distant second place.

According to 538, DeSantis narrowly defeated former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in Iowa, but has a nearly 30-point lead in New Hampshire polling average (34.2% to 5.2%). .
