The Ravens celebrated earning a spot in the AFC Championship Game on Saturday with a party-like atmosphere in the locker room, led by none other than Head Coach John Harbaugh's dancing. .
After defeating the Texans 34-10 in the district round, the team huddled around each other in the locker room and formed a dance circle, which tight ends coach George Godsey jumped in to start.
Harbaugh followed, boogieing as his players and fellow coaches cheered.
“It was everyone,” Harbaugh said with a smile of the locker room dance party after the game. “So George Godsey started it first…George got us started and then we all got in there and danced. So, just for the record, it was me I want you to know that it wasn't just that.”
After the game was tied 10-10 at halftime, the celebrations were warranted after the Ravens put together a great second half to emerge victorious.
In the final two quarters, Baltimore silenced Houston's offense and won 24-0.
“The locker room was good,” Harbaugh said of the energy in the first half. “I think everyone was a little bit on edge. We were all a little excited. … Everyone kind of took a deep breath and said, 'Okay, it's 0-0.' We allowed a big punt return, so it’s our game to try and win.”
The win means the Ravens will host the AFC Championship Game for the first time in team history. It will be Baltimore City's first AFC Championship game since 1971, when the Colts defeated the Raiders to win Super Bowl V.
The Ravens will host the winner of Sunday's divisional round game between the Bills and Chiefs, marking Patrick Mahomes' first road non-Super Bowl playoff game.
The Bills are looking to avenge their two postseason losses to the Chiefs in the past three years.
