The Ravens defeated the Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday, winning 24-0 in the second half, but it wasn't an easy day for Baltimore.
Despite being double-digit favorites, the Ravens were tied 10-10 with the Texans at halftime.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson felt a sense of urgency at halftime, needing to motivate his top-seeded team into the third quarter.
When asked who spoke at halftime, the 2023 MVP candidate literally said with pride that he did it.
“There was a lot of abuse at halftime.” Jackson offered after the game.. “It would be inappropriate to say it here.
“We weren't doing anything against that defense, but they were playing great. And that offense was playing great, too,” he continued about the Texans. However, in the second half, we did not work as a unit. We went to put points on the board and started moving the ball, moving the chains and starting to be ourselves. ”
The Ravens defeated the upstart Texans 34-10, and the winner of Sunday's Chiefs-Bills showdown will take home next weekend's AFC Championship Game.
Next week, the Ravens will play in the AFC Championship game for the first time since 2013, the same year they also won their most recent Super Bowl.
The Ravens are 2 wins and 2 losses in the AFC title game, winning both games and winning the Super Bowl.

In the win over the Texans, Jackson completed 16 of 22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and also had 11 carries, 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Jackson was responsible for all four of the Ravens' touchdowns.
