This Summer Trump’s ‘Indictments Are Going to Ripen into Convictions’

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who represents Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), said on “Fox News Sunday” this week that former President Donald Trump's multiple indictments were “not guilty.” “It will be ripe for judgment,” he said.

Massey said, “You know, the main thing I hear from people back home is that we're crazy that no one in Washington, D.C. is holding us accountable. We're going to hold Mr. Trump accountable. I think it's necessary. He didn't build the wall. He didn't make Mexico pay for it. He actually went into debt by $7.8. He botched the repeal of Obamacare. Promise. There are so many things that he failed to do. He gave Dr. Fauci a citation after he shut down our country and held no one at the FDA or CDC accountable. So let's hold that guy accountable. .”

Furthermore, he added: “Here's the problem. You know, this summer, we're going to be filing these cases in court, these charges are going to be ripe for conviction, and we're going to have porn stars with campaign contributions.” We're going to discuss the finer points of whether it can be paid for, or whether it should be recorded as a business expense. The lawsuit itself is ridiculous, but the underlying facts are not in dispute. When it starts to become clear that people are going to have some kind of backlash. And while the polls are showing him winning over Biden, they're going to switch quickly.”
