‘We’re Not Uniting Behind Trump’

Many, but not all, posted harsh messages such as “We reap what we sow,'' highlighting the Florida governor's strong influence. We are not going to unite behind former President Donald Trump.

While many in the political world cheered Mr. DeSantis' decision to unite the party and support Mr. Trump in the primary to focus on defeating President Biden in November, many of Mr. DeSantis' online influencers has a much harder time letting bygones be bygones.

“Now it's 'Governor Ron DeSantis,' right?” Jenna Ellis sarcastically asked in response to the Trump campaign's statements about DeSantis' withdrawal from the race and subsequent support for Trump.

“Is Rob DeSanctimonius no more? Should we all just forget? They think so. I don't. Here's the thing that says, 'It's time to choose wisely. “It’s bold to use that line,” she said.

“Instead of trying to seriously recruit DeSantis supporters, the Trump campaign is saying goodbye to @bobvanderplaats and evangelicals who wanted to be post-Trump,” she claimed.

“It was all just psychotherapy. So you guys still don't believe any of Trump's promises?!” she declared in another post.

“We are not united behind Mr. Trump,” Robert Salvador, a DeSantis adviser, said in an X message, citing issues with the former president.

“Fuck you, Trump! #NeverUnite,” DeSantis influencer Chris Nelson shouted, retweeting other individuals who said they would “not vote for Trump.”

“The people who primarily poisoned DeSantis supporters and attacked our wives and children and parents and tried to get us fired and put us out of work want to pretend that none of that happened. . That's not going to happen,'' said Pedro Gonzalez, a pro-DeSantis influencer exposed by Breitbart News last summer.

“It's a sad day for America,” host Steve Diese said. “Fear that we are making the same mistakes that the currently dominant generation has consistently made over and over again, and that we are closer than ever to losing this once exceptional country. is being attacked.”

“And this time, it was to bypass the most successful Republican politician so far this century, because we needed someone as ruthless and capable as DeSantis has proven.” “But sadly, we reap what we sow.”

Other DeSantis supporters weighed in as well. Some opinions were cautious, while others were hostile.

Despite all the emotions and opinions, DeSantis said in his closing message: “It's clear that the vast majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance.” .
