As the investigation into the bizarre deaths of three fans after a Kansas City Chiefs game continues, the homeowner's attorney has revealed new information that only raises more questions.
The victims, David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, arrived at a friend's house two days after they had gathered to watch their team, the Los Angeles Chargers, play. was found dead in his backyard. January 7th.
Police say they are not yet investigating the matter as a homicide pending the results of the coroner's report.
The victims' families are angry that police have not arrested any suspects.
On Tuesday, an attorney for the home's owner, Jordan Willis, said: told WDAF-TV She revealed that Willis had since left the house.
John Picerno also stated that there was a fifth person in the house on the day of the incident, and claimed that Willis left the four men in the house and went to sleep.
This appears to contradict Willis' previous statement that he saw three men leave the house before going to bed.
“When he invites people into his house, yes, as humans sometimes they get tired. They are people who are very close to you, and you sleep comfortably and know that they will leave when they want to leave. People who allow it,” explained Picerno.
Willis continued that he did not leave the house after Sunday and did not realize that his friend's car was still outside the house. She did not hear anyone knocking or notice that the fiancée of one of the men had entered the house to search.
“None of us know what happened to these people. And I think the most important thing to remember here is that these are his three friends.” added Picerno.
The family is angry that they have not been told a story that would make sense of the death.
“I just imagined him dead and sitting outside in the cold for two days,” said Caleb McGeeney, a cousin of one of the victims. “It's very devastating. The whole family is messed up. He was a very good person.”
