White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Biden's Tuesday speech on abortion in Virginia despite debacles over the administration's response to the Israel-Hamas war and near-constant disruption by protesters was advertised as “intense.''
Biden defended his speech after several reporters asked him during a White House briefing whether he was “frustrated” that he was unable to deliver the speech as he had intended and whether he would update it in future public appearances. It all started when someone asked me if I was preparing for future protests.
“I mean, look, Mr. President, in my view, and I think your colleagues have written about this, it was a fiery speech. It was a deep, deeply impactful speech. You heard how you reacted to the speech, which it was. I think this speech did a good job of talking about how this president and his entire administration will fight for women.” Pierre said.

Biden added that he believes Americans have a right to have their voices heard “as long as we do it peacefully.” “We respect that,” she said.
Despite her claims, Biden has previously come under fire on social media for making near-incoherent remarks about former President Donald Trump and women in the United States during a speech.
“We're teaching Donald Trump a valuable lesson: Don't mess with America's women unless you want to profit from it!” Biden was quoted as saying. He then came under fire from critics over his age and cognitive ability, a common criticism of the president, even from within his own party.
