Gov. Chris Sununu (R-New Hampshire) said Thursday on CNN's “The Situation Room” that former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-South Carolina), his rival for the Republican presidential nomination, has received a donation. Former President Donald Trump said he was “nervous.”
Sununu said, “Nikki Haley fights the establishment, fights people who try to break the rules, and believes in the process and the voters. Just because Ronna McDaniel says so, or because Donald Trump wants to manipulate her.” But she’s not going anywhere.”
He continued, “She has that wind and momentum, and that's why President Trump is so scared, so nervous about what's going to happen there.” By the way, did someone say two months ago that if Trump wins the first two states, they will decide to cancel and that will be the end? They're moving the goalposts and changing the rules. They usually do it because they're scared.
Sununu added, “She's with big donors today. She's raised millions of dollars from small donors in the last 48 hours. Money is flowing in and voters are giving her a lot of money.” I agree, and that's one of the many frustrations Trump has. He tries to intimidate people. He says if you give money to Nikki Haley, you're not part of the MAGA community. I said, God knows what that means. There's no discount on Trump steaks or anything like that. I don't know. What matters is that Nikki Haley has money coming in and that's why he's nervous. That's why she's doing so, and she has momentum in her home state and will have the money to fight next month.”
