One of two inmates who escaped from an Arkansas prison has been arrested by law enforcement.

Noah Rausch, one of two detainees who escaped from the Pine Bluff county jail on Monday, was found hiding in an abandoned house by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's Office chiefs discovered Rausch's hiding place after a local resident called 911 to report a man fitting the fugitive's description.

Rausch attempted to flee from police who arrived at the scene, but was arrested and taken back to jail.

Another escaped inmate, Jatonia Bryant, remains on the run from police. Authorities say he is a black male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds.

Two suspects escaped from the jail Monday by cutting a hole in the shower area, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Rausch and Bryant's escape was announced around 10:30 a.m. Monday, when the sheriff's office announced that “two detainees were found missing” from a jail outside Little Rock. .

“They were able to get out of the shower area by cutting a hole in the ceiling, and through that hole they cut a hole in the roof of the facility and exited from there,” said Maj. John Bean. , describes how Rausch and Bryant, who were being held on murder charges, disappeared from the Dove Brussels Adult Detention Center earlier this week.

Bryant has been in presumptive custody in connection with capital murder charges since 2023 and is considered dangerous.

There is a $2,500 reward for information leading to his arrest.
