Dashcam video of the moment an Oklahoma police officer narrowly escaped death after his car collided with a car stopped by law enforcement officers has gone viral. Miraculously, there were no serious injuries from the catastrophic car accident that occurred during the traffic stop.
On January 18, Officer Jesse Gregory of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol pulled over a white SUV. Gregory was on the passenger side of the SUV, talking to the driver.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a black SUV that was hurtling down the highway slams into the car. The violent collision sent debris flying into the air and the officer was thrown into the grass by the force of the car crash. Despite being involved in a violent collision, Gregory was able to jump to his feet and could be seen out of frame on the dashcam video.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, but it is not yet clear whether the vehicle that crashed into the parked car was speeding.
Fortunately, all three people involved not only survived the crash, but have also been “treated and released,” according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Officer Gregory said he is “ready to get back” to work.
He admitted: “I know it's going to take a little bit of time mentally to come back, so I'm just trying to get through that.”

On January 5, Canadian County Deputy Jose Mendoza was thrown to the ground when a pickup truck crashed into his car as he pulled over to the side of the road. Police dashcam footage shows Gregory rushing to render aid to Mendoza.

Mendoza and the others involved in the car accident all survived, but sustained varying degrees of injury.
