Border Patrol agents at the southern border made a large number of arrests this week of child sex offenders and convicted murderers attempting to enter the United States, as the number of illegal immigrants coming to the United States increases.
On January 23, Border Patrol agents in Del Rio and the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, arrested two child sex offenders with prior felony convictions.
“These subjects were captured attempting to illegally re-enter the United States,” U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Director Jason Owens posted on X, announcing the news of the capture.
“Having agents on patrol is what prevented them from reaching your community. #HonorFirst.”

On Thursday, Tucson Border Patrol Chief Agent John Modlin posted images of two men with criminal records who were arrested for illegally entering the United States.
“Both subjects have disturbing felony convictions,” Modlin wrote.
“One count of second-degree murder and attempted murder, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, both of which are the subject of federal charges.”
