House Democrat caught on video slamming her own constituents for supporting Trump: ‘Drank the Trump Kool-Aid’

Congresswoman Susan Wilde (D-Pennsylvania) has been arrested again for disrespecting voters who support Donald Trump.

As a result of population shifts, Pennsylvania lost a House seat after the 2020 census, which necessitated the allocation of the state’s House districts. Before the redraw, Wilde’s district (Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District) was solidly Democratic. However, the redrawing added Carbon County, which Trump won by overwhelming margins in the 2016 and 2020 elections, to the district.

According to Wilde, these Trump supporters are guilty of drinking the “Trump Kool-Aid.”

At least that’s what she said during a recent Zoom call that included Fox News’ Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) and Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.). report.

“I bought Carbon County as part of the district last year, and Matt wasn’t representing it at the time. Matt actually represented Carbon County in the past, so I talked to him. “It was very valuable to me in that way,” she said. “After Trump came along, they went from being like working-class blue districts to really red districts drinking the Trump Kool-Aid.

“So I was disappointed when I received it as part of my district,” she admitted.

This is the second time Wilde has publicly disparaged Trump voters in Carbon County.

Months before the 2022 midterm elections, Wilde complained that Carbon County used to be “Obama County” but is now “Trump County.”

“I don’t really know what was going through their heads, because the people of Carbon County are exactly the kind of people who shouldn’t vote for Donald Trump. But I would educate them a little bit about it. You may need to.” She Said at that time.

However, Wilde has not apologized for his recent comments. In her statement she said:

It has been the honor of my life to represent Carbon County in Congress and I am grateful for the partnership with my local constituents. The first thing I did on behalf of Carbon County was open an office in Lehighton to help as many constituents as possible with their interactions with federal agencies. I will continue to work tirelessly for them.

In the 2022 election, Wild won re-election against his Republican challenger by just 2 percentage points, or less than 6,000 votes. Her district is in turmoil right now. According to the Cook Political Reportit may be in Wilde’s best interest to stop insulting voters.
