Three masked men robbed a man at gunpoint in front of his Houston home early Sunday morning and forced him into the front door, but police say the victim’s relatives who were inside the house wondered what was going on. When he saw this, he grabbed the gun and began firing at the suspects.

Police said the victim was exiting his car to enter his home in the 2600 block of Caplin Street around 12:30 a.m. when three men approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. told KPRC-TV..
According to police, the suspects forced the man to the front door of his home. KTRK TV reported.
Police added that the victim’s family witnessed what was happening inside the house and came outside and opened fire on the suspects, KPRC reported.
“The suspects then returned fire and fled the scene,” Lt. Trometer told KTRK. “Shortly thereafter, police arrived and were able to locate one of the suspects in the neighborhood. He was injured, with one gunshot wound to his leg and one gunshot wound to his arm.”
Police told KPRC that a K-9 unit found the injured suspect, adding that the suspect will soon be taken to a hospital and charged with aggravated robbery. The suspect is expected to survive, KTRK reported.
As for the other two suspects, police added they fled the scene in a white Ford SUV. No other information about them has been released, the agency added.
KTRK also reported that it was unclear whether police knew the whereabouts of the other two suspects.
