Eminem was in the minority at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium on Sunday as he cheered on his hometown team in the NFC Championship Game between the Detroit Lions and the 49ers.
But that didn’t stop him from having a friendly conversation with the 49ers faithful in the stands.
Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) was seen wearing Lions gear throwing a bird at a 49ers fan who was doing the same in his suite. He played in each of Detroit’s home games during the NFL playoffs, with the team defeating both the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to advance to the penultimate game of the season.

While the middle finger is usually an insult, Eminem had fun doing it, and both parties ended up laughing. Of course, some people on social media didn’t take it that way. This is because this video could certainly have been taken out of context.
However, one X user pointed to another video in which Eminem was seen taking pictures with 49ers fans who loved seeing him at games despite their differing loyalties. .
Eminem certainly had fun with the 49ers fans, but he probably wasn’t smiling at the end of the game.
The first half was probably quite the scene for his suite, as the Lions surprised the 49ers with a 24-7 lead at halftime thanks to three rushing touchdowns by three separate players.

However, the Lions’ onslaught in the first half led to the 49ers’ onslaught in the second half. San Francisco gave up 27 unanswered points to the Lions and a late touchdown made it 34-31, but a miracle onside kick was unsuccessful.

That’s why Detroit fans like Eminem are all in a gloomy mood this Monday, as the Lions have never been to a Super Bowl since that era began in the NFL.
On the bright side, the Lions have made steady progress under head coach Dan Campbell. Campbell was criticized for repeatedly deciding to go fourth and short. Although he has done so all season, quarterback Jared Goff was unable to convert either, resulting in points for the 49ers on the ensuing drive.
But there’s no denying that the Lions can get the group back this far next season, where Eminem will be hoping for a different result than what he witnessed in the Bay Area on Sunday.
