The parents of one of the U.S. soldiers killed in a drone strike in Jordan spoke about their daughter’s loss Tuesday morning as they awaited a call from President Biden.
Kennedy Ladon Sanders, a special Waycross, Georgia resident, was killed along with the 23-year-old envoy. Breonna Alexandria Moffett and 46-year-old Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, who carried out a drone attack near the Syrian border over the weekend.
Kennedy’s parents, Oneida and Sean Sanders, joined “Fox & Friends” to discuss the unexpected loss and how they want America to respond to the deadly attack that claimed their daughter’s life.

“As grieving parents, we don’t want to see other parents go through what we’re going through right now, but given the circumstances, our children and the others who lost their lives are at risk for this. He is considered a hero in the circumstances,” Oneida said. . “But no matter what the president of the United States decides to do, our situation will not change at all.”
He added: “Whatever is decided, we believe it will be a good decision that will keep everyone in the safest position.”

Oneida said the family is expecting a call from President Biden and has already been in contact with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and various members of Congress. She needs to complete her paperwork before speaking with the president, she said.
”I have heard from several other government officials,” Oneida said. “Governor Brian Kemp, the governor of Georgia, also called us. Some of the members of Congress who represent our area called us. I am scheduled to meet with a casualty assistance officer and was told that I would need to complete certain documentation in order for the president to be released and make the call.”
“So we’re looking forward to a call from President Biden,” she continued.
Since the attack, Biden has faced increasing pressure to retaliate against Iran.

The Pentagon said more than 40 people were injured in a weekend attack on a small desert facility known as Tower 22 in Jordan. At least eight people were medically evacuated, with the most seriously injured service member in serious but stable condition.
The soldier’s death marked a significant escalation in violence in the ongoing attack on US forces in the region. The Biden administration said these attacks were in retaliation for the United States’ support for Israel in its ongoing war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, and in response to Iranian attacks on U.S. targets in Syria and Iraq. They blame the attack on paramilitary groups.
According to the Department of Defense (DOD), there have been 165 attacks since October 17 in Iraq, Syria, and now Jordan. Of these, 66 were in Iraq, 98 in Syria and one in Jordan.
Kennedy’s parents said she had a long military career, with her father, brother and grandfather all serving in the military.
“I always look at her commitment to the military and her understanding of the ultimate sacrifice. I went home, her brother went home, my dad went home, our Many don’t have the opportunity to go home,” Sean said.
“And for those who don’t, we should respect them as well.”
