Surfer Bethany Hamilton Blasts Trans Athletes Competing Against Women

Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton made her stance on men participating in women’s sports clear in a social media post on Monday.

According to Breitbart News, Hamilton in February slammed the World Surf League’s (WSL) decision to allow competition between men and women in order to be more “inclusive.”

Meanwhile, the Australian surfing company known as Rip Curl came under fire for featuring a biological male transgender model as one of its “female brand ambassadors,” Breitbart News reported Monday.

The company recently dropped Hamilton for taking a stand against male athletes competing as female athletes.

Rip Curl recently featured Sasha Jane Rowerson, a surfer born male and named Ryan Egan.

The paper said it described him as “Western Australia’s water woman”.

“Lowerson is notable for winning the women’s title in 2022, just three years after winning the men’s title, and for ‘transitioning’ into 2021. He remains the only man to win both the men’s and women’s longboard titles. ,” a Breitbart News report said. .
