Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton made her stance on men participating in women’s sports clear in a social media post on Monday.
Hamilton famously returned to the sport after losing an arm in a shark attack in 2003. I have written“Male-bodied athletes should not participate in women’s sports. Period”:

Social media users who follow her page were quick to share their thoughts on Hamilton’s message.
One person answered,”If men and boys are allowed to play against women and girls, it completely defeats the purpose of having a women’s category.it’s cheating #SAVEWomensSports”

“Sad that I have to say this. Thank you for speaking up for female athletes,” said another user. I have writtenwhile others Said“Bethany, thank you for saying the sky is blue. Your hatred for it shows where we stand.”
According to Breitbart News, Hamilton in February slammed the World Surf League’s (WSL) decision to allow competition between men and women in order to be more “inclusive.”
“As a professional athlete who has competed in World Surf League events for the past 15-plus years, this is of concern to me,” she said. “And I feel like I have to speak up and stand up for those who feel like they don’t have anything to say about this. Many of the girls on the tour feel that this new I don’t think they support the rules, and they’re afraid that if they speak up, they’ll be ostracized.”

Meanwhile, the Australian surfing company known as Rip Curl came under fire for featuring a biological male transgender model as one of its “female brand ambassadors,” Breitbart News reported Monday.
The company recently dropped Hamilton for taking a stand against male athletes competing as female athletes.
Rip Curl recently featured Sasha Jane Rowerson, a surfer born male and named Ryan Egan.

The paper said it described him as “Western Australia’s water woman”.

“Lowerson is notable for winning the women’s title in 2022, just three years after winning the men’s title, and for ‘transitioning’ into 2021. He remains the only man to win both the men’s and women’s longboard titles. ,” a Breitbart News report said. .
