Police arrested two 14-year-old girls and a 13-year-old girl on felony charges after a fight at a Georgia middle school Monday morning. WSB TV reported.
What are the details?
Citing a police report, the department said the fight at Rome Middle School began at about 8:18 a.m. between two female students outside the lunchroom.
School officials were initially able to separate the girls, but one of the girls got away from the school’s resource officer and tried to chase the other girl, according to WSB.
School staff then tackled the girl to the ground to “prevent any further altercation from starting,” the department said.
However, when officers were on the ground, the girl took off her vest gear and continued to scream until more officers arrived on the scene, WSB reported.
“Once other officers arrived, we attempted to de-escalate the situation; [the students] “He continued to scream and cause chaos within the school,” the report said.
The two girls were soon handcuffed, along with another girl who was trying to stop the officers, WSB said. The girl was a relative of one of the girls in the fight, police said.
However, things did not completely calm down from there.
According to WSB, two of the girls screamed and threatened the other girl on the way to the police station, and one of the 14-year-old girls threw an object when she entered the police station’s interrogation room. It is said that he also kicked the victim.

The 13-year-old boy was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor count of assaulting a police officer. One 14-year-old girl was charged with felony interference with government property, five felony counts of interfering with a police officer, and one misdemeanor simple assault. The other 14-year-old was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
According to the station, the identities of the girls have not been determined.
