Here’s a warning to political conservatives: Beware of demonizing Taylor Swift.
You could be falling into a trap. You are turning America’s biggest stage, the Super Bowl, into a stage where your political opponents claim you have a disease as dangerous as Trump Derangement Syndrome. You portray yourself as paranoid and delusional.
The former presidential candidate represented Donald Trump after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens to advance to the Super Bowl on Monday morning. Vivek Ramaswamy posted on X (formerly Twitter), speculating about Swift’s role in the 2024 election cycle.
Taylor Swift is a tool to help execute NFL rotation plans. A man is coming out. The woman inside.
“Who will win next month’s Super Bowl?” Ramaswamy began. “And I wonder if we’ll see massive support for the president from artificially culturally supported couples this fall. This is a bit of wild speculation, but we’ll see how it ages over the next eight months.” Let’s.”
Ramaswamy is, of course, referring to Swift and her pro-vaccine boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. They are the new “it” couple celebrated and promoted by the corporate media.
I am a big fan of Ramaswamy. He’s smart, he’s fast, he’s fearless. But in this case he is making a mistake. It doesn’t matter how old his tweets become over the next few months. What matters is how it lands now and over the next two weeks.
It lands in crazy land.
Fixing football games to hurt Trump?please
The impact of Swift’s inevitable endorsement of Joe Biden, Michelle Obama, and Gavin Newsom has nothing to do with whether or not the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers on February 10th. Swift’s popularity doesn’t rise or fall based on who won the last football game.
Swift’s endorsement is unlikely to move many voters either. In 2018, she announced her first political endorsement, supporting Phil Bredesen in the Tennessee Senate race against Marcia Blackburn. Bredesen lost by 11 points. In 2016, LeBron James tripped up Hillary Clinton in her home state of Ohio. Hillary lost Ohio to Trump.
Celebrity endorsements spin the social media news cycle. They don’t matter. We all know that celebrities are not very smart and are rarely honest.
Ramaswamy and everyone else rooting for the Chiefs seems upset because Swift is obsessed with Kelce.
stop. right now. Please walk back. Leave the weirdness to the left.
It sounds strange to claim that the left would rig a football game to hurt Donald Trump. Anything can happen on Sunday in the NFL. Just like Aaron Rodgers did during the season’s opening weekend, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes could suffer a season-ending injury just three plays from the Super Bowl. There’s no guarantee the Chiefs will beat the 49ers. Conservative political opponents don’t need that.
What they need is for conservatives to unfairly demonize a 34-year-old woman who fell in love with a 34-year-old football star. Demonization makes conservatives look hypocritical and stupid. Are political conservatives so cynical and so divorced from a true Biblical worldview that they cannot see the potential good in young men and women falling in love?
In this way, the anti-Swift drive will be locally assembled, targeting suburban mothers and their daughters. This is a very relatable and understandable story for women. A likable, harmlessly ignorant straight pop star found love in a clueless man’s big rug, and conservatives strangely called the Chiefs because the relationship hurt Trump’s re-election. claimed they were bound to lose the Super Bowl.
stop. right now. Please walk back.
The truth is, who wins the Super Bowl is irrelevant. NFL games are rarely, if ever, fixed. As with all games you can bet on, they are subject to influence. There’s a big difference between fixing a game and influencing a game. Match-fixing is about winners and losers. What matters is the point spread and how much profit the house “earns”.
Again, no one who matters cares which team wins the Super Bowl.
Swift’s real role in the NFL
What those in power are concerned about is the NFL’s ability to serve public propaganda. Over the past 60 years, nightly news programs have become less and less influential to the public. Cable news has stolen the influence of the major television networks. Independent media is stealing the influence of cable news. Virtually no television programs exist anymore that are aimed at mass audiences.
Soccer is the only content on television that consistently attracts large audiences. Eight years ago, thanks to quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who took a knee, the NFL became a different organization, one that embraced diversity, equity, inclusion and a woke mob.
The purchase alienated soccer’s most ardent supporters: Christian, conservative men. As our interest in football waned, the NFL doubled and tripled its pursuit of female football fans.
That’s where Taylor Swift comes in. She is a tool to help execute the NFL’s rotation plan. A man is coming out. Participation of women. The league is allowing female fans to enter the country illegally. They adopted an open-border policy that fundamentally removed women’s sensibilities from soccer.
The same people who convinced the NFL to embrace Wake, DEI, and the message of Black Lives Matter promised Roger Goodell that they would replace disgruntled male fans with feminist women. That’s what we’re witnessing.
NFL ratings are currently being inflated because Nielsen changed its ratings system to include viewers outside of the home. People watching games in large groups at sports bars are now counted in TV ratings. That’s why the NFL continues to set viewership records.
In my opinion, interest and satisfaction with the league is at a historically low level. Taylor Swift and this season are focused on importing female viewers. She is more of a brand influencer than a political operative. She’s injected into NFL storylines to make it cool for young women to pretend they truly love football.
America loves celebrity trends. Celebrities are good at starting trends. They have a hard time getting people to the polls and filling out fake mail-in ballots.
Celebrity relationships quickly die out due to natural causes. Conservatives are foolish to wish death on secular love. The right thing to do is to sincerely pray for pop stars and football stars to realize that God is the source of all sustainable love.
Hating Swift and wishing for her demise only weakens you and strengthens her as a tool of matriarchy.
