Two men are breathing a sigh of relief after their boat sank in the Gulf of Mexico.
The incident happened on Monday aboard the Carnival Jubilee ship. passed it Mexico’s Isla Mujeres reported on NBC 5. Eagle-eyed cruise staff noticed the men drifting in kayaks and knew exactly what to do.
After the crew brought the men aboard the ship, they were given medical treatment and food. The cruise line said the rescued men later explained that their boat had sunk and that they had jumped into a kayak to survive.

Video footage taken from a cruise ship I got caught Kayaks bobbed up and down in the distance while travelers watched from the ship’s balcony.
As the kayak approached the boat, a person near the camera said, “There’s nothing on the boat.” The travelers then watch the rescue unfold.
Many people applauded as one of the men appeared to try to climb onto the side of the ship to get to safety.

NBC reported that the two boatmen were eventually transferred to a Mexican Navy ship, but “Carnival declined to say how far from shore they were when they were discovered.” ” he said.
“The Jubilee departed from Galveston on Saturday on a seven-day cruise through the Western Caribbean and continued sailing to Mahogany Bay on the island of Roatan in Honduras after being rescued. The ship is scheduled to return to Galveston on Saturday morning. ” the paper said.
