An official of former President Donald Trump’s administration is in critical condition after his family said he was shot and killed during a dangerous night of carjackings in Washington.direct current
According to his LinkedIn profile and the report below, Mike Gill worked for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during the Trump administration. Local outlet, WTOPwas attacked on Monday night.
According to FOX5Gill’s family confirmed the incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 29, at approximately 5:45 p.m., in the 900 block of K Street NW in Capital.
The suspect allegedly got into Gill’s car, shot her and fled.

In a statement to FOX 5, a spokesperson for Gill called him an “amazing” husband, father, friend and colleague.
“Mike is a wonderful husband, father, friend, and colleague. He has a great sense of humor no matter the situation. He makes friends with everyone and brings people together. , always looking for opportunities to make them feel included and loved,” the spokesperson said. “His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many people, as evidenced by the outpouring of love and support his family received during this difficult time.”

“Mike has an uncanny ability to connect with others across boundaries. His genuine interest in people and innate ability to make everyone feel valued and included. Metropolitan Police Department officials said Gill’s carjacking was one of a number of recent violent armed carjackings in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
Just two hours later, on Monday night around 7 p.m., police confirmed to FOX 5 that the same gunman attempted to carjack a bystander.
About 10 minutes later, police said the gunman approached them on the sidewalk, pointed a gun at them and demanded their vehicle.

The suspect allegedly shot and killed a man, then stole the man’s car (a 2016 Chrysler 200) and fled.
Officials confirmed to FOX 5 that the man who was shot died at a nearby hospital after the shooting.
The stolen Chrysler 200 was recovered at a local park near Prince George’s County, Maryland, police said.
Authorities believe the suspect abandoned the Toyota Camry driver before carjacking him.

After the carjacking suspect abandoned the Camry, he ordered a rideshare pickup and carjacked the driver’s Nissan Rogue, Carroll said.
Around 2:30 a.m., a suspect opened fire on a Maryland State Police trooper who was assisting a disabled vehicle along the interstate, authorities said.
The gunshot hit the hood of the police cruise ship, but no one was injured.
About 30 minutes later, police say the gunman opened fire on a D.C. police officer’s vehicle. The bullet hit the driver’s side door. The officer was not injured and was able to provide a description of the vehicle.
State and local authorities worked together to search for the suspect, who was shot and killed by a New Carrollton police officer in Prince George’s County by early Tuesday morning.
